Stunning, and rare all original 1971 Country Gentleman with original hardshell case.
I am only the 2nd owner of this beautifully kept guitar. The first was a guy from Memphis who was a session musician at Sun Records in the seventies (so who knows who has played it in it's illustrious past). The condition can only be described as near mint. Model number 7670 and serial number 26369 are printed on the label you can see through the cut out f hole. You can google Gretsch vintage info to verify that the 7670 is exactly what we have here. A double cutaway 6122 with a little tarnishing to the gold trim, but otherwise in superb condition. I have never seen a 70s 6122 with no binding rot - except this one which has NO deterioration at all. Barely any belt rash and no fret wear. The neck is straight. The filtertrons 100%. All original Grover tuners. Thumbnail pearl inlays. I am only selling as I am switching bands and this guitar would be the wrong sound for the heavier stuff I'll be playing. If you know your axes, then you'll know what I mean and what a sweet unique sound you get from a well set up Country Gent. If you have any questions or want another picture - feel free. I would prefer the winning bidder to pick up and pay on receipt. Other arrangements might be possible but depend where it needs sending. Postal charges will have to be calculated and paid for by the winner at the conclusion of the sale. Cheques will need to be cleared prior to pick up/release.
